as title states, I have the helmes manual but am stuck...

have removed lug nut over drive shaft.
have removed bolt that connects suspension to drive line..
removal of drive shaft??? I understand you have to manipulate from tranny side of things.. anything else??

 

WTF are you talking about?
an axle? intermediate shaft?

FWD cars dont have driveshafts.

 

sorry front axle... eg, from tranny to wheel!

 

Have you popped the lower ball joints yet?

If yes, push the axles into and then out of the hubs. Have someone or something hold the axle. Then use a std screwdriver to pop the intermediate shaft out of the tranny and a pry bar (optional hammer) to pop the passenger-side axle out of the tranny.

 

use a big screwdriver or "pry bar" to seperate axle from the transmission.

you dont need to take the intermediate shaft off, just seperate the axle from the intermeditate shaft. (again with a big scredriver or "pry bar"

I can never pop the axle out from the intermediate shaft. It's always been 10x easier for me to undo the 3 bolts and use a screwdriver on the tranny-side.

Maybe I just don't haven't a big enough magic schtick to work my fizzle on it.
