I found the perfect Gear ratio fo 92-95 civic
If you have a 92-95 4-6 speed civic keep reading otherwise dont.
the other day I was @ the 1/4 mile track ajdusting gear raitos and I got to the perfect one. when I ran my 95 civic I realized that I cut 2. seconds off my time.
now it's 12.724@104.7MPH instead of 14.768@.97.4MPH.
If you want this 2 second cut- off you must have:
ACT Double Plate Clutch
An upgraded CrankShaft- not stock
And at least a 4 speed MANUAL Trans.
Here Are the Gear Ratios:
6 speed
1st- 2.730
2nd- 1.817
3rd- 1.318
4th-1.003
5th-.801
6th- .671
Final- 4.083
for 5 speed trans. add .157 to the 1st 2nd 3rd 4th And 5th gear and .07 to the Final
For 4 Speed Trans. add .166 to the 1st 2nd and 3rd gear for the 4th add .175 And the final, .09
I spent hours figuring these out. Good luck!

Acctully you can Find a six speed. I don't know wich company makes it but I ve seen other poeple with it. mine is a six speed. and another thing I have a PS2 and I hardly have time yo play gran turismo 3.
P.S. the six speeds are kinda a wallet burner. and it takes alot of time to set the gear ratios properly. Mine I had to get from my friend when he went to Japan to get stuff, I gave him $3000 and bought it for me. ( THAT'S nearly my ,month's whole pay check!|)
P.S.S Cool I have a ?JDM TRANS!!!

Sorry not GT3. have you seen some track racing civics not the little sunday cup the big events? ones that are sponserd, some of them have six speeds. there is a Type R civic that Raced at the Penzoil race series that had one. it was on the Internation channel a week ago.

I just hope the transmission is street legal becuase i don't to go through all the crap, FIX it ticket, sending it back to Japan, ETC.

so you saying you own this tranny? what gear do you finish the 1/4 mi in? how are the ratios adjusted

12.72 @ 104mph? Let me guess that was the dragster in the lane beside you. With my STi swap I nailed a 12.9@104 without abusing it too bad. That's 320bhp and AWD launch. 1.80 60'. I fail to see how you could be trapping lower with your car. That must be a mad launch yo.

This guy was at the track the other day adjusting his gear ratios. But, he was on Honda-Tech last week asking what engine he should buy. Check out some of his other posts. He must be bored, what with summer vacation and all.

Even if you are telling the truth, why would you spend $3000 on a 6 speed tranny just to get your car down to 12 sec. Why not use the money to buy a turbo or nos instead? Or do some work to your internals to prep. for more power.
