ok...recently my battery light has been coming on... this is a fairly new battery I bought in the spring. the thing is my car sat for the spring till last week
I've started up normaly...also missing a week or so at times....then this one time my battery fully died on me...so I recharged it up my boosting it with my EF civic
my car ran fine from then...but the battery light still came on!! WTF???
well just last nite my car was struggling to get home...everything was going dim...battery light was on....car had troulbe moving like it was short on battery power.....then this morning I started it, and it started up no problem....everything seems fine...no dim on lights...only started up to test.
well I'm planing on taking a 13 hour trip tonite for a funeral in MN, St. Paul
do u think my car will make it...
my battery is gettin charged up by a shop rite now

Check your alternator. Usually after a car sits for a while, it's natural for for the batteries to not be fully juiced up. But since you said you charged them up, you should check your alternator.

by taking off my battery outlets...will that stop my alt from draining power from my battery if my car is just sitting??? is that a good idea....or will that just kill my alt??? please help....must leave tonite...in 6 hours!!!!
Dude you wont make it my alternator fried on the way back from canada to ohio and we had to change it in buffalo New York. You will only get an hour max out of your battery if you drive it, and your batt light is already on dude change that ****. You will strand yourself in the middle of bfe forsure.

new alternator for sure, only takes an hour at most to change it....... or if you cant get one it time... buy a couple batteries and as soon as one dies change to the other lol
check the belt tension...if it's fine, drop your alt out (pain in the ***) and have it checked at your local parts store. if it's crap replace it...if its not...post further here.
