b20 idle prob

Default b20 idle prob

did a search no help..i have a b20b in eg hatch.. with d series harness.. car runs fine, but when it is cold started. idle sets at 2000rpm for a while, as it gets a little warmer at about 1300rpm and jumps to 18 back and fourth for a while. then when it is finally wam it idle fine.. i changes roter cap wires etc.. checked iacv and that porp under throttle body.. any help thanks

it is normal for the idle to jump to 2k RPMs when its cold,..its just the ECU warming up the motor,....as for the idling jumping,...run a search for something like "erratic idle" or something like that,...i think its the fast idle but im not sure,..the fast idle may just need to be tighten

i would clean the IACV if you havent done so already. The you can check the FITV, which is under the Throttle body,( some models dont have FITV).

before you go and buy anything, **** with your idle screw, i had the same problem and the idle screw was just a lil out of place.

i dont think he should do that,..he didnt say anything about throwing a code for the iACV,...he might just need to clean the screen
