***My Idle wants to stick around 2000 RPMs***<<<Help<<<
So here it is....You start the car (crx dx--d15) and it immedietly starts climbing to 2K rpm....sometimes if you just rev it up past 3k rpms it will go back to normal idle.... The check engine light comes on sometimes and throws a code 1....The ecu always throws a code 1 even if the check engine light isnt on....When driving the car then shifting gears the rpms jump up to 2K in neutral between shifts...and when the car is driving and in gear if I let go of the gas the car does not deccelerate?? Thanx in advance!!
I've tried the EVAC trick that I read once, but that did no help for me in my situation.
Also, I noticed if you try to pull the gas pedal up by tucking your foot in it helps releive the reving a little, and some times by doing that on the throttle helps even more but that one is kind of hard in middle of traffic.

Thats what I was going to say naybe your throttle cable is sticking and when you kick it up high it unsticks for a bit and then when it gets back to a certain point it sticks again?
how would I fix that problem....All I can think of is to squert some lubricant into the throttle cable...would that work???
Also what about the code 1 will that go away??

hey check your fast idle valve. Mine did the same thing. It went to 4900 rpms! In (vtec) with straightpipe at stop lights. Most likely it is your fast idle valve.
