I dont know what everyone is using to do there mpfi swap but I have a d16y8 intake mani that I plan on using. So far I just have the manifold, fuel rail, fpr and injectors. Do I still need to get a TB or can I use the DPFI TB? Is it even possible to swap or is it just one unit? I also know I need the dizzy, ecu and extra wiring to do the swap. Just not sure If I'm missing anything..... I'm also not sure how the wiring is going to work. I see alot of people are using other intake manis besides the Y8. TIA!

 

the DPFI TB is completly different and will not bolt up at all

 

so I would need any d series tb?

 

im not sure but i read somewhere that with the y8 manifold b seriesr throttle bodeies will work

D B or H series TB will work. 92 and up.

also 90-91 B18A1 TBs will work. that is what i am using on my Y8 manifold.

i also have an extra one for sale if your interested.
