Default Quick question. Dropping tranny.

When dropping the tranny do you guys put a block of wood with a jack under the oil pan on the motor? Will it dent the pan? Since I don't have a engine hoist. Thanks for any help you can give.

if you drop it you have a good chance of breakin more than the pan haha

you should be fine, you will notice that when you have it out and free you can pick it up by yourself with ease... i dont think it will dent it

Thanks guys! My friend and I are changing my clutch right now so thanks

nextelbuddy, you can drop the tranny and leave the motor in. this is my first clutch change but I'm getting help. Also a helms manual is the best investment I've made. Peace. Aloha.
