Default SMIC on stock crx front bumper

Yes I've seen CWBETB's setup.

Has anyone got any side mount intercooler (DSM, supra, etc) to fit behind a stock crx Si bumper? did you have to do any mods to the I/C?

Yes I am...and I have figured it out.
You'll need a 1G or preferably a 2G smic from a DSM. The actual ic fits snuggly right where the stock resonator box used to be.If your running a greddy kit like me, your going to run the piping from the turbo this way:
Right were the turbo outlet is, your going to need a strict 90 degree bend going towards the intercooler spot. This way you'll clear the front engine mount. You will then need to cut a hole into the engine chassis right below your battery. When you do this, you'll get access to the SMIC. The pipe going to the throttle body sticks right out of the stock airbox hole. If your using a 1G, you'll need to modify the pipe going to the turbo a bit so it goes straight. I hope this helps. I'll have pics soon for everyone.

ok so I should be going for a 2g I/C. I dunno how this'll work with a hf mani/14b setup but I guess I'll eventually see.

How well do these i/c's cool? Is the charge piping after it cool to the touch after some good runs? I might run mine like this.
