Removing moldings...how to pull door panel?
Im pulling the moldings off to paint them and need to know what to do to get the door panel off. Will i need to buy clips or adhesive to put the door panel back on. By the way its a 94 si h/b
No clips or adhesive necessary. First, there's a screw holding your handle and lock, unscrew it, as well as the screw holding in the plastic piece that you pull the door shut with. Next, behind the window crank, there is a horseshoe shaped clip, you need to pop that off (don't lose it) and remove the crank. Then, with your fingers, or a flat head (be careful not to scratch the door), pull the panel towards you gently, and the clips will release the panel. Once you pull off the bottom and sides, you'll have to push the whole panel upward, to release it from the window catch.
To put it back on, start from the top, make sure it's lined up with the window catch, and use your palm to snap the clips back into the door.

will it be just that simple to pull the panel off once the screws are out? I don't wanna mess it up. When i pull on the panel the black stick stuff is there too. What should I do about that?
Just take your time, you'll hear and feel it pop when it releases each clip. Start at the bottom and work your way around. The black gooey stuff is to hold the plastic cover that goes over the openings in the door once the panel is off. When I still had mine, I used tape to put it back, as the panel sandwiches it to the door.
