Default whats needed to install hondata?

sorry for the newbie question, i read all the FAQ's and what not on the hondata.com website and i thought i had everything to install my hondata s200.

anyways, i have a 96 civic coupe, ITR engine, hondata s200, and a Kenji p28 ecu with an obd1 conversion harness, and was wondering what else i needed to install the hondata s200? or is that all i need? my mechanic said that there are like 2 wires that are needed to connect the hondata to the ecu but i did not see anything about that when reading about the hondata on the website.

thank you

Im not running hondata, but it sounds like you have what you need. I would think the s200 would have come with any wires needed to connect to the ECU.

yeah, the s200 comes with some things, but i think he was talking about the ECU not being ready for to accept the Hondata unit or something.

You need to read the Install brochure in the download section of the Hondata.com website, it tells you what needs to be done to the ecu to prepare it for Hondata S200.

Yes...there are a few things that need to be soldered into the ECU to accept the Hondata setup, soldering of a socket, some resistors, a chip, and a 4 prong plug for communication with the Hondata box.
