Default What causes boost creep?

The car running great for 2 weeks at .33 bar, 5 psi, solid. Went to the track friday night, did like 2-3 slow passes, then headed home. All the way home, the car would boost less and less. By the time i was home, it wouldn't build any boost. So i went through all my piping and my vaccum lines..turns out the wastegate adjustment nut came loose, and the wastegate backed off all the way. so i took it apart, and reset it. Well, it was set alittle higher then i want (8-9psi) just off the wastegate. So i head over to a friends house, an dit does the same thing, starts boosting less and less. So i get to his house, and put it back together, except lock tighted the nut. Well, ever since, it'll boost fine, untill i hit 5500 (vtec...) then it'll just over boost to 12 psi...What happened? I'll change vaccum lines again i suppose...

heres a pic of my wastegate:

i messed with it last night....adjusted the wastegate around, and rerouted the vaccum source, also put an MBC on it. I got on it once, and it was OK. Then after that, it creeps hard to 15 psi...

Could my engine timing affect it whatsoever?

timing could affect the amount of boost built. i believe if the timinig is to retarded, this can cause a lot of boost creep as the gases are still expanding in the turbo housing causing the turbo to spool faster. causing boost creep.

Guess what we did before going to the track? yea, you guessed it, retarded the timing...time to advance it back

Ok, so i messed with the timing, it runs a bit smoother, but still boost creeps.

Miraiz, intercooler piping, or vaccum line leak? i've checked all the pipes more then once, all seem fine...

heh, i got the boost issue taken care of from just messing with the wastegate. Now my timing is wayyy off...heh, one thing after another it seems...

i messed with the vaccum lines. i had it plumbed to the compressor housing, so i moved it to my vaccum manifold, and messed witht he wastegate adjustment some more. and amazingly enough, it was all good. Then for some reason, the car would die around 55-6k or so...timing was wayyy off. so i backed the timing down and fiddled with it for about 5 minutes this afternoon, car runs great, pulls right to redline at .40 bar or so.
