what is tenchioner and idler bearing for?
Is he talking about your timing belt, too? There's a tensioner pulley, some people call it an idler pulley. Its bearing must be going bad. Get it fixed because you don't want your timing belt to slip or break.
What kind of car? Some cars have an idler/tensioner pulley for the A/C belt. If you wait until it breaks that's not good, but it won't destroy your engine.
