turbo people with TI retainers & stronger valve springs

How many of you are running ti retainers? Do you have problems with it? Which brand are you running, how often do you replace them?
It looks the N/A guys have often problems with it, it wear very quick sometimes
I run now for 12500 miles Crower ti retainers and valve srpings. No problem so far, but I never inspected the retainers....I am worried now.

Damn dude, my JG valvetrain is wearing the same way! the retainers are wearing on the corners, ill get some pics up when i have a chance
Not sure what brand those were, but I've never had a problem with 2 crower valve trains i've installed.
I have over 10k miles on my complete skunk2 valve train. no problems at all. They have seen 9000 rpm many times while all motor and now with the addition of 14 psi. skunk2

Skunk2 products like cams are made by Crower, right? I wonder if same is with retainers and valve springs

We used to have the same problem with the jg stuff. I don't think it's a retainer problem though. I think it's caused by valve float. When the valves float, the retainer and spring don't have as much pressure against one another. The impact when the valve catches up with the cam is what tears them up. I think that's what's going on anyway. We switched to Rev springs and retainers and haven't had that problem since.

Ahh man, thanx for clearing that up.
I knew those valvetrain was ***, i mean it doesnt even have an inner spring. i guess ill be saving up for a new valvetrain now, REV or Ferrea?

Valve float is usually caused by excessive rpms in addition to a spring that is too weak. Thereby causing the spring to not fully expand before it compresses again.
