Omniman Valve Springs with Brain Crower Steel Retainers
I'm in the process of swapping out my retainers due to the wear issues associated with Titanium. I'm considering going with a stock retainer or the steel ones that Brain Crower offers. Does anyone foresee any issues with running either of these steel retainers with my Omniman Valve springs? TIA.

I like to purchase and use valve springs and retainers that are designed to work together. Are yours actually worn out or is it preventative maintainence? From what I have seen from the omni stuff it holds up very well.

How hard is it to measure your springs' ID's and ask for the OD's of the registers (steps) on the retainer?
People answering this question would have to do the same, correct?

Correct. Unfortunately, I don't have the car accessible at the moment due to it being winter. Therefore, I am unable to measure any of my valve springs/retainers. Would the OD/ID of the retainer and steps be the only limiting factor in running a different spring and retainer combo?

Its a given that the manufacturers would advise people to run their cams coupled with their valve train components. Would you disagree?
I'd like to hear from who run stock retainers with upgraded valve springs. I think BearEk does this but I could be mistaken.

I can ask the manufacturers however I don't know if that is the only limiting factor.
