Default NA or FI Daily driver

I know most people in this forum are die hard all motor junkies. With that said, so am I. But honestly, if you had a car, such as my 96 GS-R sedan, would you go ahead and build a 200whp all motor setup or install a GReddy turbo kit. If your not familiar with turbo kits, well lets just say Greddy is a VERY good kit for putting out 220 to 250 for a GS-R, which would be more than enough for me. It is the only turbo kit that I would buy. The N/A setup would include a IB ( killer ) head pkg, along with 12.0-1 pistons and forged rods wth hondata. The header and a better ( have Apexi World Sport ) exhuast would have to come later. With that said, anyone care to say whether they would go NA or FI for a 4 door daily driver. Estimated cost should be almost the same for either kit, ( got a deal on the Greddy Kit ) 3500 or somewhere in that ball park figure. Thanks

sedans kinda heavy....id go boost in your situation. building an all motor setup with 200whp would be pretty pointless in a big body integra.

anyone familiar with the weight of a 4 door teg as compared with a 2 door . I don't think it's that much of a difference. Maybe 200 pounds or so.

According to auto trader, the 1996 gsr sedan weighs in at 2,765, when the 2 door is 2,677 pounds. Your sedan weighs 88 pounds more if these figures are correct.

That car is a pig, I know I used to have one. Definately boost it if anything, but really consider trading that in for a hatch.

200 N/A whp will net you quicker 1/4's then 200 boosted whp. I have a friend with a 95 sedan fully loaded even leather interior. No weight reduction at all and he ran 13.8 with a 100% bone stock GSR sedan w/ just a JRSC 6lb kit. No slicks, no clutch, not even aftermarket header/cat or exhaust. Even had pacemark tires. However I also have another friend with a GSR sedan with a mild build w/ ITR t/b, S2 mani, S2 stage 1's, H/TP/E, chipped P28, ACT and street tires. Went high 13's. Toss up really. Personally I love the feel of an all motor power band, but that's just me. I guess boost gets all the attention.

That's not bad for an econo sled like the GS-R sedan. It's not too many peeps around this local area running serious all motor setups. To be honest, I think most of these guys do focus on FI. Well the debate continues, I have until I return from here in Kuwait ( mid July ) to make my decision. By then I will have made my decision. Anyone know how long IB takes to assemble a head pkg.

I would do the all motor route. Even though the all motor set up would be a bit slower than turbo, it's more respectable. Plus it would run cooler and get better fuel economy and if built well, it would be able to be abused more often than turbo.

Yeah, that's a good benefit of FI.
