Default Can a bigger K&N cone filter make my car ping?

This is kind of weird, but I got a quick question.

Can a bigger K&N cone filter make my car ping, I replaced my Greddy cone filter with this. I am still pretty much boosting the same amount, but car started pinging real bad. I wonder if it is the cone or something else

thanks

i dont think so, but on the other hand if your not tuned conservatively, then more air could lean you out a bit,

Actually it can depending on how well you tuned your car....a bigger filter means better air flow which can mean leaner conditions.

If you had your car tune to be relatively lean with your previous filter, and you are running a larger filter with better air flow, you might have introduced excessively lean conditions to your setup...just try adding more fuel.
