I have a 97 accord LX auto with I/h/e 100,xxx miles. Everytime I floor it, it pulls nice through the mid range but as soon as I get towards redline it feels like its stressin the **** out of my motor. It doesn't pull like my friends stock 97 accord, his car has a nice smooth pull to redline. It feels as if I advanced the timing but you can't on obd2 accords. What could be the problem?

Why cant you advance the timing on your accord?Try some routine maintanence like spark plugs,wires,cap and rotor.

 

I can't advance my timing cause it advances itself at wot.I'll try a routine maintenence hopefully it helps .

 

try cleaning your injectors with 100k+ they might be cloged and not be able to deliver the amount of fuel you need at top end.

 

So I should just do a tune up and put some feul injector cleaner in the feul tank and see what happens from there.
