By the way, do you have to use the fuse box that comes with the kit, is it a necessity? what exactly does it do, does it protect my car?

There should be two screws behind the radio that you can reach with a skew driver from under the dash. I know that's how it works with the older Accords and Preludes. So depending on what year you have, I'm not sure.

use the fuse!!!

Don't be like some of those dumbass i've seen. Serious dumbasses. The one had his car catch fire.

Think about it, you're running 12v's on a wire straight from your battery to your amp. If you don't use a fuse, then what's going to blow and shut down power if somehow the insulation on the wire rubs thru? Nothing! The wire will heat up really fast like a toaster does to heat your toast, except now it's worse and your car will catch fire.

BTW> Don't run the power wire thru the door jam either. #1, more chance for a short, and #2, looks really stupid. Find a rubber gromet on the fire wall or somethign and run it in that way.

I never took it apart when there was a stock radio in but did you get the 2 screws that are above the radio? They are under the lip facing upwards? Also listen to the posts above. Fuse = Necessary!! No if and or buts about it! Unless you want to kill your car and maybe yourself in the fire.

Ok, i have it all hooked up and turned it on and guess what...didnt work, my amp is getting power, (light is on and sparks ground if i test for power), i think the ground is ok, it sparks when hitting power(right??) and the remote works because obviously it turned on the amp..i have a stock head unit and i have an rca adapter, my friend put it in my trunk under my passenger side speaker thats on the top side near the rear window, and wired it up to that, so the signal comes straight to the amp, but one of my friend's friend tried to hook it up by cutting a couple wires(speaker wires etc. that plug into the deck. well i havent stripped and put them back together yet, and my left door speaker isnt working because of it, but my speaker that i hooked the adapter to is working, so would that mean that my rca hookup is bad?? because if the speaker works then it's getting a signal, my subs connections are fine i believe, btw, do you have to have all of the screws that fit onto the amp for speakers that i dont use..., i lost 2, thanks

wow... impossible to understand.

Anyhow, make sure your LOC is adjusted if it has "gain" settings. That's your line level converter box. Some have volume adjustments, and they might be turned way down. Also make sure your RCA"s are in the right place, and your subs are connected correctly to both the amp and inside the box its self.

My friend's subs u can hear turn on when he turns on the car, mine dont, would they turn on even if the rca's didnt work??? because if then, then the speaker wires would be the problem...

It could be a whole multitude of problems. Double check you continuity to ground (make sure it's good, really good). Double check your LOC high level connections, and the gain settings (if it has them). Could be bad channels on the amp. Could be a bad preout on the radio. Just double check all this stuff. It's bound to be in there somewhere.
And I'm wondering why nobody has hassled you yet about this being in the wrong forum

Okay I agree I have no clue what your really saying but I'll try.

So you are going to be connecting the amp to one of the speakers? If that's the case what are you talking about RCA's? shouldn't you be using high level input?

Also if your friends subs pop when you turn them on... that's not a good thing.

As stated above you may want to try asking here---> https://honda-tech.com/zeroforum?id=27
