where is the coolant drain bolt?

i think you're wrong (or you're refering to a v6
). its on the back of the block by the oil filter. this topic came up earlier.
from a 96-98 helms manual:

also there is no mention of engine specific differences here, so i'm assuming the bolt is there for y5,y7, and y8 engines. i know for a fact that's there it is on my y8. to loosen it, try getting at it from underneath the passenger side. if you go directly under it, the axle is in the way. still a pain in the *** either way, and coolant gets everywhere, so have a beer bong like contraption up there.
