Obd0 (pre-obd) Timming...no service conector... anyone help ?
Just curious becaus ei have timmed obd cars before and i would normall jump the service connector then use the timming light, on obd0 integras there is no service jumper, how do i knwo im doing this rihgt? or do i just go at it as normal ?
im not getting very good results with the light, this is why i am asking, also is it very noticble if your off by 1 tooth. everything seemed to be TDC when i put the motor together but hey, i dono im an idiot
, just curious if it would be very noticble, the engine runs fine now idles ok, just runs very rough, seeing that i cant seem to get the timing right im asusming thats what it is.

Your not looking hard enough , theres a service connector on the passenger side footwell under the glove box. It might be actually plugged into a dummy plug with nothing connected to it.
i have pulled that dash off about 5 or 6 times now, and i dont ever remeber seeing it, i have a connecter with 3 wires that is pluged. also i ran a search and came across a post stating there is no service connector on obd0, i says just turn the ignition to on and read the codes. BUT i always thought there was, so i guess ill look harder tomarrow. BTW tbone, akh trading doesnt want toknwo anything about the cam, guess im SOL, and ill just have to buy one new.
You can just read the codes on the ecu but theres still a connector on the passenger side right by the blower motor to jump for timming changes. sorry about you cam issues man , at least it didnt destroy your whole motor.
