Hey guys a buddy of mine is upgrading his 60-1 to an SC63.

He's also upgrading his intercooler piping (2.25"), his tiny stock rev-hard intercooler, and he also wants to get a bigger TB while he's at it..

He made:
400 @ 20psi
454 @ 24psi
On his 60-1..

I told him to get a 70mm RPM Services TB, but he says he wants something smaller like a 68mm holley. I dont know why, but that's what he wants. I saw 70mm, he's pushing more then enough power to use a 70 or even a 72..sure he might loose some power below 3000epm, but it shouldn't be a big deal.

What do you HT people think??

Also any predictions on whp with the new upgrades at 23psi, I think he was goign to look for 450whp @ 15psi like Mike from motormatrix and frank from SFP made with their similar turbos..

 

i used a 68mm holley on my setup. its worked fine for me. before that i made 522whp with a stock type r one also.

 

If someone would trade you a 70mm for your 68mm straight up, and they'd do the labor would you do it??

 

What kind of intake manifold is he running?
