a guy is selling me this device from jacob's electronics. he said that the unit will enable me to retard static timing(base timing) as well as when boost rises(like a btm) seperately, so when not in boost it will use the base timing but during boost it will act as a btm. it's not an ignition amplifier so i can hook it together with my MSD 6A.

i did a search on google and only found the words "jacob's electronic boost master retard controller" but didn't found any site that says how it works or a picture of it, not even in jacob's site.

so is there anybody who's heard of this product? any link where it would state how the thing works?

 

I had a system for my truck. Oh wait, I had 4 systems for my truck. The first one lasted about a month. The second was DOA. The third lasted under a week. The last on I sold on ebay without even openning the box. The guy who bought it returned it to Jacobs in about a month. In my opinion, Jacobs products are not very reliable. I do not have experience with retard controller, but that is one thing I would not want to break, so I wouldn't get it.
