Default Tein Install help/question??

AIght got the rear TEINS on tonite in what lil time I had to work on the car....SRR LCA's and the SS.....well everything went good until it was time to lower the car and make sure both sides were droped equally?? Is there a trick to this?? I'm new with coilovers.........I used a "ruler" and measured from where the green starts to the first "lockin nut" it measured 1.5in.....both sides where like this.....dropped the car. The driver side was just a tad lower than what I had with my old springs I was like tite!! barely 1 finger gap......passsenger side I had 2 finger gap maybe a lil more.....so I"m like WTF?? lower'd it more to make it match......this common or something wrong?? I'm assuming something is wrong!!

K now part 2.....the dampenin "clicks" lol.....16 way adjustable right?? well I counted from where they came in the box at the highest setting to the beginning of the clicks...22 clicks..........from the "beginning" counted 10 back....so whats my setting at:????

just think of the begining as 0% stiff, and the end as 100% stiff. the ammount of clicks is just there to give you more freedom.. more clicks = more combinations you can make front/rear.

alot of cars will sit lower on the drivers side, I think its a weight distribution thing. On my car I just adjusted the coilovers(not tein) to make it even. although mine was probably like only a halfinch difference. I dont think adjusting the coilovers height is the best idea though... because you'll have different suspension stroke on the right than you do on the left.

I believe you can get your car corner weighted? maybe that'll fix it. I'm not sure cuz i've never had it done.. but it sounds right?? hehe

Clockwise is going stiffer and counter clockwise is going softer. Always start from full stiff to where ever setting. There are really only 16 settings the ones past 16 have no effect. I had the same problem when I put my HA's on. I just adjusted everyone side till I got it. Kind of a pain in the ***. Also, get it corner weighed if you can. This would be the best solution.

You got HA's lucky you...I got HR's and they don't have adjustable dampening so they are a little hard on the ride.

There's more weight on the driver's side, especially in swapped Civics. Just how it is. Though the difference on my car is only about 3 or 4 threads on the passenger side. (GC)

Corner balancing is nice, long as you don't pay more than $100 for it, and only worth it if you race the car, you will never feel the benefit from it on the street, and if you do, you're being reckless.

its natural even with just sprint springs i noticed when i had my rims on with the low pro tires it showed that my passenger side was lower, thats due to the weight of the tranny........so just do what u need to even it out, i dont think it whould affect performance too much

i guess i have to do this when i put my teins in

I'm sure you thought of this, but I'm asking because you said you only did the rear, and just put it on the ground to check height...when you drop a car that's been in the air, and put it down, 95% of the time, your camber, etc..is all funked up, which would affect height, you gotta roll it around..push it out of the garage and push it back in, then check it out
