H22 guys with H23 tensioners! Where did you get one?
Those of you guys running H23 manual tensioners or purchased a new one, did you guys get 'em from the Honda dealership? I'm on the verge of getting on and about to go to the Honda dealership since Hondaautomotiveparts.com looks as though they have auto tensioners on the diagrams
How much was it and where did you get one? I'm not a cheap ***, but I don't want to be spending ~$200 for a damn tensioner either =X
TIA.

honda has a back order on one of the parts needed to convert it, when i checked a couple months ago....i think it was the plate.......but anyway....honda if you can
I took a closer look at the H23 tensioner I put on my H22 while taking another part of the motor out. The timing belt doesn't sit perfectly on top of the timing belt tensioner pulley with the H23 conversion. If you look at it, the outer perimeter of the pulley closest to the block is exposed (1/8 - 1/4 inch) and not covered by the the timing belt. The tbelt and bal shaft belt which are close with the stock H22 tensioner assembly, are extremely close now.

OK, the balance shaft pulley (tensioner) is from which engine? It must be from the H23. If you are using the H22 balance shaft pulley, you must add a washer between the timing belt pulley and the balance shaft pulley. this allows for more clearance. if you don't add a space between the pulleys, it will eat the timing belt up.
I will try to do a detailed write up on this (with pictures) tonight since it is a hot topic. I will post it here as well, but it will be up on my site first. http://www.collectiveracing.net It will be in the how to's section.

there is a new intro page to take you to the board
Sorry for the inconvienience. BTW, I am trying to get as much detail into the changeover so it is taking a little longer than planned, sorry.
