Anyone do the h22 belt tensioner to the manual h23 tensioner?

Anyone do the h22 belt tensioner to the manual h23 tensioner?
I have a 93 h22 and my auto tensioner broke so I pulled the manual tensioner parts from a 95 h23 and everything bolted up nicely but now the timing belt wont fit, its to small by a hair. Whats the deal?

I had a hell of a time getting it on as well. It's easier with two people. you wont have to force it, it's more a matter of having the right amount of slack in the right areas.
