after you strip it, you could get it repainted to look a little smoother. just take your time when you do it. some people rush it and end up scratching up the paint under there real bad.

I know its gonna look ugly but i was just wondering what peoples opinions were as far as if it made any real diff, just hatch area and if anyone has stripped their interior what have they dont to spice it up. ive seen people paint them and or use aluminum to cover everything up. Just gettin ideas.

I have seen some built cars that stripped the rear, and looked great with paint and making it "cleaner".

What I did in my R was to keep the cardboard/wood cover over the spare well, and keep the carpet in. It would come off the back of the seats and lay down just the right distance to cover all the metal. People told me it looked good.

I had the rear stripped in my hatch last weekend, and it weighed in at 2,050. Figure about 30-50 for the rear stuff and the spare. But the CRX is even lighter ....

well my entire car is stripped currently everything is gone except for the driver seat and most of the dash...i also scraped of the sound insulating tar on the floor boards...ITS UGLY according to my friends...i ignore them tho...its beautiful in my eyes...i feel the simplicity of the cotpit is beautiful...i was planning on painting the entire car inside and out whcih will definitly clean things up inside...gonna cost some skrilla tho...i should just put that skrilla into making the car faster...

Well, I say, if you are going to strip your interior, make sure your car is fast to begin with. There is nothing funnier than seeing a car that looks fast as hell, that actually, is not that fast.

Oh, well, the trim weighs like 2 lbs... it's all plastic. The sound deadening will save you about 10lbs, and you REALLY notice the lack of it in the rain (but who cares?).

Strip dat ***... yeeeah...

It'll help your acceleration a bit, but it looks ugly as hell. My little brothers old CRX use to be stripped down all the way and people always thought it was theft recovery that never got put back together. Better make sure your car is fast cuz people gunna laugh at you for impersonating for a race car driver. My little bro's old CRX ran 14 flat all day with no vtec or boost.
