Installed AEM FPR and now...
Okay, so last I checked the plugs they showed a lean condition so I went and got a fuel pressure gauge (B&M) and FPR (AEM). I installed the gauge first and got a reading of 42 with the stock regulator (specs are 39-46). I installed the FPR and set it to 50psi; everything seemed fine although it smelled as if it was running rich.
The next morning, came out to start the car and it took MUCH longer than normal to start. When it did finally start it ran really rough with sporadic idle for about 5-10 seconds. After that it ran fine.
Got to work and decided to cut back the pressure; the reasoning behind this is because the hard to start problem resembled a flooding problem. Cut it back to 46psi (it was also hard to start before I did this) and it seemed fine.
Went out to lunch...hard to start again and rough idle. Went into get my food and came back inside of 10 minutes and had the same problem. When I got back to work I turned the car off and restarted it immediately and it cranked right up, no problems.
So it seems to be a problem only after the car sits for a while. Could it be a flooding-like problem, or not enough fuel? Anyone else had this problem?
Cliffs: Installed AEM FPR, now car is hard to start and has sporadic idle for first 5-10 seconds after starting, only after it sits for 10+ minutes.
Thanks for any help.
Mike

I thought the same thing with my car when I installed the FPR. Right now mine is set at 64 psi with 270cc injectors. I know it sounds like a lot, but it was done by a dyno shop and the gained 8 hp from it alone. Try going up to 55 and see if it helps at all.

damn 55psi with 270cc injectors.
man i honestly feel that would to much PSI on stock injectors. Try to lean it out more. You don't want to flood it and blow a rod like me
