Default Just installed 370's and AEM FPR.... Now car is hard to start

I just installed RC 370cc injectors and an AEM Fuel Pressure Regulator and Fuel Rail. This is on a Prelude by the way. I dropped my idle FP to around 30 psi.

When I go to start my car the pump gets pressure up to around 50 but then it semi-quickly drops to 0 (is this normal?). I try to catch it around 25-30psi when I start it. The car takes several cranks and when it does start it idle at like 500 rpms for a few seconds and then returns to normal.

What do you guys think?

i dont think the ecu can handle that. i know for my car and a few others the max it can handle is 270cc when the stock is 240cc. everyone here uses the v-afc or hondata to tune down larger injectors.

Stock on the prelude is 290, so going to 370 isn't that big of a leap. Anyway, I think I just need to let the pressure drop to about 15 and then start the car. I tried it that way and it started fine.

AEM regulator will not drop to 15 PSI

The regulator does drop to about 10 actually. I have the .15" orifice installed and a walbro gss-342. When I turn the car to the on position the pressure builds up to about 50psi and then slowly drops down to about 10. Now it won't go that low at idle if that's what you mean.

did you pull your map converter!?!? no way should you need pressure that low... the equivalent pressure to 52psi at 290cc (which is what the map converter was designed for) is 32psi...

so assuming the EMS is still in place, you want 32psi idle pressure. my car behaved like that, more or less, but then i ended up using the vafc to trim it out a lot.

Stock on the prelude is 290, so going to 370 isn't that big of a leap. Anyway, I think I just need to let the pressure drop to about 15 and then start the car. I tried it that way and it started fine.

When I turn the car to the on position the pressure builds up to about 50psi and then slowly drops down to about 10.
With the car started, pull the vacuum line of the FPR and set the pressure to 35. When you put the vacuum line back on it should drop, but not to 10.

If what you stated above is happening you have a problem. With just the key on you should build pressure and it should stay there. Turning the car on will drop it 8 or so PSI due to the vacuum line. Shouldnt got to 10.

Have any leaks? Sure the FPR isnt bad?
