What's up? I have a 93 accord with a JDM H22a with an Aem short ram intake. My problem is that the car hesitates right before the vtec kicks in, from 4800 rpm to 5000 rpm. Btw the car has no ecu upgrades, just a stock jdm H22a with an f22 tranny. thanks for any help in advance.

 

sounds like you need some fuel tuning?

 

not sure if this is related but h22a's used with f22 tranny's are known to slip in and out of vtec occasionally because of the different gearing. If thats the problem perhaps a vtec controller would help? just guessing here.

 

That,s not it. The car hesitates from 4800 to 5000 rpm and then the vtec kicks in.

 

check ur plugs make sure they are not worn. Check the vtec solenoid screen also it may be dirty and this can sometimes cause a delay I think

 

Plugs are new. I'll check the solenoid in the morning.
