Default b18c crank pulley nut removal??????????????

hey guys just wondering which way the threads are on this nut. I think its just like a regular lefty loosey righty tighty but we put like 110 ft/lbs on it with the gun and the nut just laughed at us and didn't spin off. I even tried spinning it the other direction and still nothing. any help would be great. later

The bolt is just as normal. Righty tighty, lefty loosey.

That bolt is one bitch, and air tools usually will not work. Just FYI the bolt is also torqued at 135 lbs.

I'd recommend you grab a beefy breaker bar with 1/2" drive, a 19mm 6 point impact socket (1/2" drive), a long extension.

Drop the car on all four tires (you may need to drop it on the spare tire on the driver side), have a friend put it into 5th gear And put some muscle into it.

Air tools will work, but you have to have a strong one. My husband bought a gun from Lowe's and it was a little over $100 with tax. I think it is like a 500 lb torque measurement. We used a 9 gallon air compressor with a 3.4 horsepower engine. It will do the trick, but you have to be patient and let the gun hit it several times before it will come off. Let the tank fill all the way up, and then hit it until it's down to 1lb of pressure, let it refill and try again until it comes off.

I've seen some air tools work, but not very many ones. I have used a 3.5 HP with 160 PSI on a Craftsman Air compessor using an Impact drill with a 19mm Impact socket, and sat there until the compessor reached about 20 PSI and still wouldn't budge.

It'll do the trick if the bolt has came off before or been removed before. But for the first time, it's a pain in the ***.
