ITR B18 vs. FRANKENSTEIN
My friend and i were argueing..he says that with a frankenstein (B16 VTEC head and b18 block out of an LS) that has been fully built (all aftermarket cams, pistons, fuel map, engine detail..everything) would run the same as the ITR b18 engine with the EXACT same mods if both were also port and polished and bored 40 over..i dont know..can someone tell me????!?!??!?!?!
iv always heard that frankenstein motors were h23 blocks with h22 heads but i could be wrong and this has nothing to do with your post so im gonna sut up now, anyway they probaly whould be about the same so just get the itr motor and go from there instead of goin threw all that **** with the lsvtecs , and the itr motor will have be a better motor in the long run since its supposed to be that way and lsvtecs arent

This sounds like some classic bench racing if I've ever heard it.
There are too many variables.
What CR are the LS/VTEC pistons?
What cams are in that LS/VTEC?
Is it possible to out power a B18C5 with an LS/VTEC?
Sure.
Is it easy?
Sure.
But if you don't have the right recipe and the builder sucks ***** it would be lucky to make over 160whp.
