Which LSD is better?
Either get the whole tranny or get the Quaife! It will be about the same price for either unit. It will be alot easer to swap the trannys. Providing they swap right in. I think that they do...
But i'm pretty sure that i would get the Quaife and replace a few of the syncros and shift forks.

Sorry, I should of mentioned it. I'm about to buy a JDM H22, and the seller is offering to throw a LCD into the complete swap for an additional 300 dollars.
So if I restate: Should I pay an additional 300 dollars for a LCD with my new H22 swap, or 850 dollars for a Quaife LSD?
Thanks a lot

DAMN 300 dollars for an LCD monitor with a motor thats pretty expensive!! hehe, just messin with ya,,
well the thing is what good will the jdm lsd be if you don't have the tranny to put it in, like satan said, find out what LSD it is and what tranny its from , besides what good is an LSD that doesn't fit , . find out more information, you could end up with an LSD that doesn't fit your tranny. unless he is offering to sell you a jdm tranny with an LSD! then i would go for it

I was trying to say this when I said, "I'm about to buy a JDM H22, and the seller is offering to throw a LCD into the complete swap for an additional 300 dollars." However, so you think it's worth 300 dollars, or should I save it and use the money toward a Quaife LSD? How much of a performance difference will I notice from a Quaife LSD vs. the LCD that comes with the H22 tranny?
Thanks a lot.

When you say an additional $300 for the JDM LSD Does that mean they will give you an LSD tranny(original) or put a JDM LSD into the JDM tranny? Will they do the installation work or just send you an LSD and let you deal with it?
Remember that transmission work is expensive either way. That $850 for a quaife can turn into $11-1200 pretty quickly after paying for the labor.

-bionic- remember if your going to get the tranny work done..
try to look into the future 2 see if your going to get a lighter flywheel or racing clutch.. because you can do it all at once rather than taking your tranny out over and over again
if i were you i'd pay the extra $300 for the JDM LSD and another $240 for a light flywheel... check PO.com parts classified.. then your tranny would be kick *** and killing 2 hookers with 1 wad of cash -_-)b

Hey guys thanks for the good feedback.
Since I'm a trial member, and limited to 5 post per 24 hour cycle, I wasn't able to respond back.
To answer kotetu's question, the 300 dollars would cover for a LCD, including installation, installed to the tranny.
Once again, thanks for the feedback, and by the way, I bought the engine with the LCD installed.

Honda LSD are fairly solid Torsen axles. My ITR LSD has been track abused for two years, and is doing fine.</TD></TR></TABLE>
I'm not so convinced that the 4th gen JDM LSD is much like the ITR LSD. I have a Euro-R tranny now and I know I can swap in a USDM Quaife or whatever but th LSD is like the ITR.
The thing about the 4th gen one is the fitment problems. The LSD unit they used was completely outsourced to somebody, because they had to modify the entire differential casing to fit it. On top of that it is a 14 bolt ring gear and diff while everything else is 10 bolt, including my euro-r.
So I have no Idea what they used, but if it was 'Honda' why would they make it so difficult to use in their tranny? Anyways just my suspicions
