h22 eg axle problems
Heres the problem,i have a 93 cx with an h22 and i have had it for a year and have lowered it. it now has a bad vibration when i turn to the right at about any speed, and it also vibrates when i hit a dip in the road and the cars suspension travels alot.I have integra axles but i want to know if anyone had this problem and had custom length axles made and it fixed it,and were you got the axles from,,! Thanks.
if you have coil overs raise your car a little bit. i had the same problem with my passenger side when ever i turned left or had some one in my car. i am going to get dss axles which r suppose to be really good. also you might want to check all the bolts for your mounts. i just checked my rear engine bracket(attached to the tranny) and all three were loose. don't know how it happened but check them just to be safe.
Hasports mount kit and i have checked all of my bolts.I have heard that someone makes an axle special for the h22 swap and with those there are no problems but know one knows what kind.
To save from creating a new thread....
I'm saving my money now for an H22A for my 92 hatch and I was very curious to see/hear your suspension set-ups for your hatchbacks and how they handle.
If you could post what you have for suspension setups and your opinions that would be awesome and assist me greatly in my H22 Quest. hah.

I have Civic Ground Controls on Tokico Blues. Very budgetable suspension and handles pretty well but can be definitely upgraded.
I'll be getting me some Tein RA's soon for AutoX and Circuit Racing purposes and show up some ITR's.
I'd recommend getting some Skunk2's or Integra Coil over set up, or even some Tein's or Zeal suspension.
I DEFINITELY recommend running a front sway at least. I have never driven with out a sway bar as I still have my EX front sway. (I used to have a 93 EX with the H22 up front, and now have a 92 VX with the EX full suspension/control arms), and still handles very well.
Just depends on how hardcore you want to go.

I posted this up awhile back and it was specifically for the HCP mount kits, but most of it pretty much applies to the HASport kit as well. Should give you some idea of what also to look for.

I'd recommend HCP or HASports. I used HASports and have no vibration at all. But I've seen HCP mounts with zero issues as well.
I definitely recommend HASport over HCP though since I have serveral personal experiences between the 2 mounts.

Just call 'em up, talk to Frank and let 'em know what car you have, what mount kit and what intermediate shaft you have.
I let 'em know I have a 92 Civic hatch with an H22 using the lude shaft and they'll know what to do.
Make sure they give you the 2 1/4" shaft on the inner CV joint passenger side axle!
