what is it needed for? im trying to change out that fuel line and dont want to break that hat off?

is their a simple way to get it off?

The plastic this is just a cover because there is a screw under the cap.The whole thing is called a fuel pulsation dampener.Fawk the cap its useless besides the screw on the end,so just take off the whole thing.But becareful when you put it back on and not to over tighten it cause you will mess up the threads and it will leak.That happend to me before so i bought a new on from honda and the threads where different and it got messed up to so i just went with an aftermarket fuel rail and steel braid line.

 

22mm open-end wrench with a hammer. It'll come right off.
