the car has been sitting for a a lil under 1 year with it beeing started and drivin only a few times. but the car has been being daily driving for a lil over the last month, im not sure with the motor not of being used for over a year it has anything to do with it

its not my car its a friends

ok he drove it last night and as soon as he started to race it it wouldnt go past 6krpm

then so on and so on all the way down to 2krpm is where it sits on the side of the street now


the oil was changed before it started messing up

my friend called me up and i went over there and changed a couple things to see if it would work but nothing helped . some of these items may be stupid, but im no honda expert

put new spark plugs and wires
changed out the injectors
changed the distributor
and chaged out the ecu, but not sure if the ecu would of been able to tell i put in jdm b16 in there, just to see if it would effect it at all but it didnt


its now making a loud hising noise,the noise is not coming from the throttle


is there anyone thing else i should do??????????

loud hissing noise?? is there an erratic idle?? sounds like a vacuum leak

 

the hissing noise sounds liek its coming from where the header is, i know it sounds weird


i have no clue
i though of vacume leak to but couldnt find anything
is there any vacum leak thta could casue ur rpm not to go up at all
there is a bit of shaking when i rev the motor to 2k it shakes ALOT

 

have you checked the timing yet to see if the belt jumped any teeth, from my experience, i know for sure if the timing is off a lil bit, you can drive the car, but t won't rev past 3 k and dies the second you try to floor it,

 

the exact last thing i said after 4 hours of messing with the car was dod u break any belts or do they fall off?


we looked but the cover was on so i couldnt see the timing belt, well check though

 

then engine codes its shooting out is


15 , 16 , 41

15 is like for ignition
16 for like fule injection
41 is the o2 censor but thats been on for a long time

 

take off the valve cover and the platic cover covering the cam pulley, turn the crank and line up the white mark and use a ruler to make sure the the marks on the cam pulley lines up straight form one end to the middle to the other end,
code 15, the igniter in the distrubtor its prolly bad
can't help you with code 16, never had a prob. with that

a mechanic , i dont know what mechanic he took it to says the timing is fine
but the compression is off

If its' spitting out those kind of codes then it might be in limp mode. I don't know for sure. Clear up those codes and reset the computer. At least the car is giving you a hint.
