Im working with a 1995 honda civic DX which has the d15y7 engine, im swaping it out with a d16y8 SOHC vtec engine and eventually adding a turbo. is it possible to use the harness with the d16y8 and the ecu in the car even though the old engine is set up for odb1 and the new engine is odb2? could i just use the harness from the odb2 and ecu from the odb2 and the engine which is odb2 and call it a day without any thing extra?

 

well your stock harness uses 2 different harness as the 96 and up harness is a one piece design. if you want to use the d16y8 ecu just get an obd1 to obd2 ecu harness. Use your stock harness for the swap
