B20Z Swap Harness Troubles

B20Z Swap Harness Troubles
I'm swapping a B20Z into a '99 EX 5 speed coupe both OBD2b. I'll be using an OBD2b P75 ECU with the immobilizer removed or an OBD2a with a jumper harness. I know the swap is straight forward but what is the best compatible engine harness to use? Long story short, my original EX engine harness is burned up. I have the auto CRV harness but a few plugs were damaged or cut when the engine was pulled. I have two options:
1) Buy another Manual 99-00 D16y8 Harness
I know the IAT and maybe EVAP would need to be exteneded for a B20Z to work with a D16y8 harness. What other wires would need to be extended to run a B20Z on a D16y8 harness? I know I also have to repin fuel pump relay at ECU on Connector A. Found a d16y8 fairly cheap and in good shape. A plus is that it's wired for VTEC, if I go down that road. Between all my harnesses and wiring bits, I'd have enough extras to do whatever I need to.
2) Convert B20Z2 harness to manual
My B20Z harness could be salvaged if I used parts from my D16y8 harness. What are the differences between an automatic and a manual engine wiring harness? I'm looking into auto to manual swaps currently for some idea. I don't have the d16 harness out yet, but I know I'd have to wire in reverse light for the 5 speed onto the B20 harness. It's a stupid question but I can't find a clear answer, when using an auto harness in a manual car. There are a few manual CRVs in the wreckers around me but most have had the distributor plug cut off. These are harder to find. Should I just remove the auto stuff off mine and wire in the reverse plug/fix broken plugs from my junk D16 harness?
Which harness should I use? Or is there something better?
Thanks.

Re: B20Z Swap Harness Troubles
Option 1 is the proper solution... get a '99 Civic EX manual engine harness and modify it to fit the B20Z engine.
