if this is goin in a hx then you should get some jdm h22 pistons or even type s pistons along with i/h/e/gears/afc. that should put u around mid 14's

i'm pretty darn sure the type-s pistons won't work in the H23; i'm droppin in USDM H22's in my H23 right now; i'll let you know how it comes out. The JDM H22's should put your compression ratio to about 11.5:1, which i think would be the most you would really wanna go for a street car.

The H22 Type S pistons work fine in an H23 VTEC engine. Static CR is about 11.5:1 with Type S pistons and the H23 stroke. The CR of the TYpe S pistons is 11.0:1 in the H22. The extra .5 comes from the increased stroke.

They clear the valves fine too . . .

I think you should search. This has been covered numerous times.

What's your redline when using the Gude's racing package?

They change the rev limiter to 86 or 8700.Way more than you need since it is designed to produce power in the stock range.
