I read the post on going all motor on the H- series got a few ideas but I have a question I want to run mid 14's on an all motor h23 what do I need to do? thanks
i'm pretty darn sure the type-s pistons won't work in the H23; i'm droppin in USDM H22's in my H23 right now; i'll let you know how it comes out. The JDM H22's should put your compression ratio to about 11.5:1, which i think would be the most you would really wanna go for a street car.
The H22 Type S pistons work fine in an H23 VTEC engine. Static CR is about 11.5:1 with Type S pistons and the H23 stroke. The CR of the TYpe S pistons is 11.0:1 in the H22. The extra .5 comes from the increased stroke.
They clear the valves fine too . . .
