How do I remove primer that was overspray on my car?
Hehe well to make a long story short on my trunk there is some spray of primer on top of my paint.
Is there some chemical that will take it off, yet leave my paint unharmed?
Thanks

some say gasoline will work. shouldnt harm your paint, if you wash it off afterwards, and apply some wax. you could of course wet sand it, but that takes a little more knowledge.
I highly doubt a clay bar will work. Don't just pour the gasoline straight onto the car. Lightly damp a rag, and rub it off. As long as you don't rub too hard, it shouldn't make it passed your clear coat, in turn not affecting the paint. This is just what I have read on HT. Ask Emerica.
how bad is the overspray?
Clay bar should work the best for this as this is what it was originally used for... to remove overspray.
you can use the bar with detailing spray or I just like to use a soap and water solution as the lubricant. Make sure you wash your car before using the clay bar. Then when the car is clean, use the soap and water solution along with the claybar to remove the overspray. Rinse the car when you're done and the overspray should be gone and the paint as smooth as glass. Follow up with some wax and you should be very pleased with the results.
good luck

I'm always using gasoline to remove overspray on my car(s).
Has anyone ever spilled gas on their car after filling up???? I do about every time I get gas. It will not harm the finish if it is wiped up or washed off sometie in the near future.
Just damp a rag, like stated above....should work fine.
Or, you could buy paint thinner, etc, but most people have gas just sitting in the garage
