Ignition? I am currently using the MSD Dis2 but thinking about switching to M&W Ignition and coils. Just think it may help me get out the ignition bugs?? My friend uses them on his 7 sec car and swears by them. What do you c16 fuel, full race cars using?

 

I use a digital 7 box and have no ignition issues as of yet.

 

I have just a MSD 6AL box, MSD blaster coil, with msd 2step and rpm activated switch. Im an MSD *****.

 

M&W makes good ignition systems.

 

I'm using RX7 primary coil(dual post) running direct fire waste spark. I'm told they are good to 600whp on an RX7, and at 16psi, so far I'm not taxing them yet. I also got them really damn cheap.

 

I'm running the Autronic 4 channel CDI ignition with 4 individual Mercury Marine coils. These coils often get associated with M&W Ignition, which like Autronic is made in Australia. I havent had so much as a hiccup in about a year now.
I know of some other cars running these coils such as Ryan Garcias Mitsu Lancer (prolly the car youre referring to) and also that sick Skyline from Australia.

That being said I have seen 650+ hp cars with a DIS-2 also.
