Here's the situation.... Every once in a while--- and ONLY every once in a while, I will turn the key of my car and I hear a click-- but nothing happens... the engine doesn't crank like it's trying to start or anything... I thought it was the battery--- so I just replaced that today... I thought it fixed the problem-- but NOPE... it happened again... it won't start... then I'll wait a few minutes and try again... and it still won't start... then I try again... eventually it'll start..... could this be a problem w/ the ignition coil??? it doesn't seem like it could be--- because usually if the ignition coil is bad the car won't start at all... regardless of attempts. Once the car is started, it runs fine... Can someone please tell me what's wrong with my car???

No cranking, and doing it intermitantly is a sign of a faulty Starter Solenoid.

I would remove the starter, and do a bench test or take it to an Auto store to have it tested.

Sounds like the Starter Solenoid is going out. A replacement starter should fix this problem.
