Well, if you're thinking will it "bolt right up and fit all nice and snug." I highly doubt it.

I imagine that yes, it has been done. But I don't think anyone in here has done it. Now, if you DO manage to find someone who has done this before, it was probably so custom that you aren't going to get any real straight answers.

My guess is that you're going to have to just take the dashes out, and put one in and start figuring it out yourself. That's about the only way these things go together.

It can be done. I have a friend who fit a BMW dash into a civic. It just takes time, money, and some serious thought.

Good luck.

5thgen track width=60in

4thgen track width=60in

5thgen wheelbase=101.8in

4th gen wheelbase=100.4in

the track is very similar...so it *may* be possible, but there are too many other dimensions that need to be accounted for to get a definate yes.

like Lone Luder said...trial and error is the only way

umm...lets not forget the prelude traditional design of having the a/c ducts come through the door......not gonna happen dood...the cars are way too different.

By the way....what is wrong with your dash now?? did it break?

nah, I actually dont have a prelude yet, but I might be comming into a 4th gen soon. I never liked the dash of the 4th gen, it looks to weird for me, and my brother has his wrecked 5th gen so I asked for his dash and he said yeah. The door vents dont have to work, as long as the ones on the 5th gen dash work.

Well see the problem is that the air is routed in that direction, i guess you could reroute it..but also take into consideration the way the door comes flush with the dash.
but think of it this way, if youre gonna spend that kind of money to get that custom fit and everything, you might as well spend much less and put a tv behind the smoked out plastic of the 4th gen's dash..looks PIUMP

WORD!! Thats way too much to take on to justify the end result... just hold out for a 5th gen if it means that much to you.

4th gen dashes are nuts, i can't see why anyone would want a prelude without it. Especially at night, feels like i'm drivin a spaceship or somethin

yeah, why would you want to take that dash out??????

that dash is the best prelude dash there is

but if you go through with it, and dont destroy the 4g dash in the process, let me know, id love to put on in my car, im all for custom work like that.

Take away the beige/cream colour and it wouldnt look that nice would it? pretty ordinary i think.

Besides, 4th gen interior is quite revolutionary and stylish, considering it came out in Japan in 1991, i would say that it still looks good despite its age.

If i did a whole 4th gen and 5th gen interior in beige leather, which one do u think would look better?

4th gen dash oWnZ j00!

i hope by cheap and outdated you mean futuristic and mean lookin

5g preludes are nice but theres not a thing i like better about them than a 4g. and that 5g dash looks like every other car. 4g preludes and s2ks are some of the best lookin cars ever to roll out a factory, at least a honda factory.

HEY. This thread is old, and I have no idea why you brought it up just to post your opinion. I have watched you bring up several threads from the dead for no apparent reason. Unless you have something new to add, or are really having a problem on the subject, please do not rehash old threads for the sake of post count or boredom for that matter. Thanks.
