I am tryin to decide whether or not to buy from a dealer for an EG hatch. I will have to go 2 hours from home to get it (in the big city), so I like the idea of going and paying and being able to drive it home legitimately right then. I will swap suspension and drivetrain right away, so I am not really concerned with the mechanical order of the car, other then the wipers and all the little things I would like to be working well as its my daily driver.

So, pay the 15% tax from a dealer, or the 7% private and go through the steps to insure and what not??? Thanx for any help as always

get an eg civic,i got a 96 ek for 7grand private sale.saved me money from tax.just go with a mechanic to look at the car.goodluck on the project!!put a dc2 front end

 

thats funny, got my 98' EK for 7grand too from private....id def go with private sales...save $$
