i cant find a stock oil pan online. does anyone know how much they cost. stock only. thanks

i got mine for 100 bucks shipped. Just do a search on yahoo for acura oil pan and you should find some sites.

 

if your building your motor might as well get an aftermarket one now...

well i got a replacement one today. last night i ran over a big piece of cement or something just laying in the road by a construction zone. thank goodness the only damage was to the pan, and not the header....or the pullies im gonna be sure the county pays for this.


also as i got the old pan off, i noticed that there is a piece bolted that looks like it has a screen on it. that part was a little dented as well, but i bent it back the best i could. does anyone know what that part is?

 

Yeah, that just happened to me. I was driving at night in the rain and suddenly came up on a huge rock in the middle of the highway... I didn't swerve because I didn't want to hydroplane and loose control. Knocked a dent in my comptech header...


Oh, when your putting the oil pan back on, make sure to only torque it to the number that the helms asks for... it feels too loose, but if you go tighter, the gasket will crimp and leak oil.

it goes for about $100 at any acura dealer. assuming you have a dealer's license. been through two myself. dont forget to get new oil pan seals too.

did you have to replace the pump too? im trying to start it up but it just ticks, and its coming from that area. motor doesnt turn. cant figure it out. this sucks

 

ok. it was the battery. it started up, but the oil pressure gauge is reading 0. it goes up when i blip the throttle, but 0 at idle and the oil light keeps going in and out
