Where could the problem be in this, as whenever I look at my dipstick it reads quite low and no reading at all, although I dont have the best compression #'s they are not oil tanker burning #'s..
There is no visible white/blue smoke at idle, WOT, anything.. quite odd

How long has it been since you last changed your oil?
Mine was doing the same thing and I'm thinking that after it gets kinda old its more prone to thermal breakdown.

I have to ask how many are running b16c1 engine? when i had my b16 i never use to burn oil... the i swapped in the b18, and i get a tad of smoke also at wot..... so does my friend and he also has a b18

hahah i think you made a honest mistake...there is no such thing as a b16c1...i know that you meant b18c1...but i just had to point it out

lets see to answer questions..
I check the dipstick every 1000 or so miles..
I check it about a minute after I shut off the car
Oil Changed every 3k miles or even sooner
I barely hit VTEC y0, b/c I'm lazy

The head and other parts of the motor will hold oil after you shut it off. The best time to check the oil level would be in the morning first thing when it's had time to drain back into the pan overnight. Then you can get a accurate reading. Mine will read about a quart low or sometimes lower if I check right when I turn it off but reads fine if I let it sit for a few hours. Just be careful not to overfill it but not getting the correct reading.

check for leaks and it is normal for a high mileage car to use a little bit of oil.. after you stop the car and turn it off wait a minute and then check for an accurate measurement ... and make sure you are not parked on any kind of incline.. If No leaks you might have a problem w/ valve seals or rings might be slightly worn..
good luck

either your dipstick is too short (no offense...) or all the oil is stuck in the oil pump...or most of it at least...busted fuel pump maybe?

That bit of smoke at WOT might just be excess gas once VTEC engages.

Vtec motors burn small amounts of oil. This is normal. Well, not to let it get so low that you can't read a level on the DS, and not if it is burning oil so much that you can't drive 2000 miles without having to add a quart just to see something on the DS after all the residual oil settles. Again, vtec motors burn oil, but not fast like I think what you are saying. If you got no leaks, you prolly got blowby.
