I beleive that everyone knows these tires are crappy. But if you go to TireRack and choose most popular tires for GSR's, it shows the Michelins as #4...
How could this be?? Can anyone explain this...are they not as crappy as I think?

they are crappy, but keep in mind a lot of people, i might even say the majority of the people who bought the integra dont know anything. For instance when they blow a tire or two, they will buy two MICHELINS to match the other two on their car, also, they would porbably replace the tires with the stock tires because "it came on the car so acura thought it was a good match with the car" (dad's idea)
They are also very expensive IMO, if i remember they are like 130-140 a tire?
they last long too, hard as a rock, though my edges are starting to go bald.....i wonder why

 

Because the majority of Integra owners are idiots... and buy what they previously had on the car... hense have had no experience on another tire. Remember, not everyone is an enthusiast as we are...

 

LOL!!! So the conlcusion is...

1) Most Integra owners are idiots.
2) Buy what originally came with the car since it came with Acura....

I can live with that, only my business will go elsewhere....

You should broaden your generalization so it doesn't reflect badly on Acura owners. Most people are idiots, period. Regardless of what car they own.

well....what i thought was assumed was that most people are idiots.
I dont want to imply that acura owners are all "stupid" , i didnt even say that, i said dont know anything, with the suggestion that i was talking about performance and car stuff....most people just buy a car for transportation (and i respect them for that). But when i said they dont know anything i meant about cars.... it's like an exclusive relationship type thing, truth table crap....a lot of integra owners dont know anything about cars, and not everyone who doesnt know anything about cars own integras, and not everyone who owns an integra doesnt know anything about cars...like all squares are rectangles but not all rectangles are squares but all rectangles are paralleograms...

I was just using integra owners as a specific example cause indy has an integra and hes running on michelins.

Some of you are forgetting that not everyone that owns an Integra is a car enthusiast. It's not like our Integra is a Ferrari. A lot of people bought it because they thought it looked cool or because they can show off a car with a luxury nameplate. They could care less about which is a real performance tire or not and probably even more rarely push the car hard enough to know that their stock tires suck.

 

umm, we didnt forget that, i think that was our number 1 pt.

 

That was the original point. But a lot of posters here seem to think that someone is "stupid" or an "idiot" because they don't buy what they don't need or care about.
