Its probably all in your head. Pop your hood and listen to your motor, chances are you got some valve clearence issues now. I know i do. I hit 10k twice now on my motor by accident. More than likely ur car is fine. If its driving ok than i woudlnt sweat to much over it.

i think i just need a valve adjustment also... i hit 100,000 miles i think thats why the loud ticks are there ... so if i have bent valves would my idle be all fucked up cuz right now its at 700-900 which according to some people i jsut talked to is normal for a 96 gsr... well i jsut need some opinions becuz i dont want to waste money on a mechanic opening my head up what are some other signs of bent valves or is weird idling a for sure thing if they are bent...

um do you remember what the rpm you hit when you misshifted?? I think you should be fine, if your needle didn't go past redline.
