I threw a header on my ZC equipped 91 CRX Si last night. The header is made for a EG but fit fine. I took my old o2 sensor and put it on this header. My check engine light pops up at random now.. though it always happens while Im accelerating and every time I've caught it light up I've been above 5K.

Could an exhaust leak cause this? Im pretty sure I heard it leaking today from what sounded like where the header and cat meet. Sounded like a pssssssssh sound sorta. My best guess is something with the o2 sensor..? Gimme your input guys.

See if your ECU is throwing a code 1.... Thats what my DX used to do cause the 02 was bad in it.

 

is it running rich/ blowing black smoke? my zc was doing that due to an old tired O2 sensor.

 

I havnt noticed it doing either. I'll check and see what code its throwing next time it happens, I forgot to say to turn my CEL all I have to do is shut off the car and then turn it back on.
