JDM b16 vs JDM b16c swap..
i could get a b16a for 2200 and b18c for 3000. which one do you guys think is a better value? better in the long run? i know b18c is faster but with the money leftover, wouldnt a b16a with some bolt ons be just as fast? also, im planning to go all motor if that matters...thanks. please post your opinions!!!

B18C is much, much faster. Go B18C. The money you spend on mods will produce more power, also, since the displacement is larger.
$2200 for a JDM B16A is outright highway robbery. I can pay that much money CANADIAN and get one, complete with engine, tranny, ECU. I'd expect to pay no more than $1100 for a good-condition JDM B16A.

If you have a ex version hatch then all you would have to add is the knock sensor wire directly to your ECU. If you have other model civic then you would have to check for the following 6 lines:
VTEC solenoid
VTEC oil pressure sensor
VTEC ground
Knock sensor
Evap purge Power
Evap purge solenoid
