Default lossing top end

at the track last week i noticed that righ around 7000 to 7200 rpm i was losing power not like a bog but more jut fall off.....and ive noticed that the car doesnt rev as easy as it used to back in the day ...compression is still good check it every other week(220 to 225 on all 4 )

fuel filter. air filter. clogged injectors. blinker fluid. flux compasitor.

do you have fuel injected spark plugs??? if you do, you need to make sure they are firing properly.... usually when they act up you have a problem though....

piston return springs are worn and need adjustment.


seriously, there can be any number of things leading to your slower reving. Try a basic tune-up first. Then an O2 sensor would be a good thing to change if it has been a while. then valve adjustment.

every thing was checked last month o2 was done in nov of last year but my car runs very rich so mabye its time for a new one

what about fuel pum car has 300 000 kilometers on it and its stock

O2 sensor is not even in the picture at 7K RPM, in open loop. Check fuel pressure at WOT or monitor O2 sensor volts at point where it's falling off...3gdude

at 86K my stock fuel pump and ignition both took a dump.
